Wilco Covered Tom Petty's 'The Waiting' At A Show Tuesday Night

We're still reeling from the death of Tom Petty earlier this week—and extremely grateful we were lucky enough to have a chance to see him play Wrigley Field this summer—and we're loving all the tributes to the man that are popping up all over the world.

Last night in Texas, Jeff Tweedy and Wilco added their vices to the list of people paying honor to Petty's prodigious talents. At a show in Irving, Texas, the band broke out a cover of "The Waiting," off 1981's Hard Promises.

Enjoy the tribute above and then read our remembrance of just what made Petty so special to so many people.

Here are just a few other musical tributes we've seen over the past two days.
