Police are warning residents of Lincoln Square and Ravenswood about a string of attacks on women walking around the neighborhood Thursday morning, in which a man on a bicycle rode up to the women while they were alone or with children, and groped them as he biked by.

In three separate incidents, a man described as white or Hispanic, 25 to 40 years old, and riding a silver colored BMX bike approached women walking on the street in the morning of Sept. 14. As he rode by, he would inappropriately touch the individual women and then flee on his bike.

In the first incident, at 10:30 a.m., a man groped a 41-year-old women walking in the 4400 block of North Ravenswood Avenue after approaching her from behind. She chased the man up the block as he fled.

In the second incident, at 10:45 a.m., a 31 year old woman was walking with her child in a stroller in the 4600 block of North Campbell Avenue when the man approached from behind and groped her. He fled eastbound in an alley as she chased him.

In the third incident, at 10:57 a.m. an 18-year-old woman was walking west on Sunnyside Avenue with a child in a stroller, in the 2300 block, when a man on a bicycle approached her from behind, groped her, and then continued "casually" riding westbound on Sunnyside, according to police.
