If you live in Chicago, you either love or hate Garrett Popcorn. You may love it because of the intoxicating smells, the great taste or the gift-ability of the stuff; you may hate it because of the constant lines down the street filled with gawking tourists. Well, either way, you might have some strong feelings about its September sale.

To celebrate its 68th anniversary, Garrett is offering special 68-cent treat bags of Garrett Mix, the cheese and caramel combo, every Wednesday in September between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. If you love it, queue up early. If you hate the lines, it's about to get worse.

There are a few other special deals: during the week of Sept. 18, a 1-gallon tin of Garrett Mix only costs $19.49, and with each purchase, customers get a scratch card. Prizes include (of course) free popcorn, including a very limited number of "free popcorn for a year" promotions.

Mark your calendars!
