Watch: Summertime Chicago Shines In Jamila Woods & Chance The Rapper's New 'LSD' Video

Jamila Woods on Tuesday morning released a new video for her standout HEAVN track "LSD," and the clip—which, like the song, features an appearance from Chance the Rapper—doubles as a lovely celebration of the pair's hometown.

Scenes from Lake Michigan and summertime backyard cookouts abound. The video has deeper Chicago roots, too: You might recall that Woods and Chance put out a call in May for Chicago Public Schools students to submit video treatments for the love-letter-to-Chicago track. The winning student, Ashley Huicochea, a recent graduate of Prosser Career Academy, was responsible for the treatment, and also shadowed the production.

The cookouts represent a moment in which people can be "together as a family as whole," a "moment of serenity," Huicochea said in a short making-of documentary. "There’s a lot more to the city than what the general masses say about us," she adds.

Above you can check out the music video, directed by Sam Bailey and Vincent Martell, and the behind-the-scenes doc below.
