After 13 years of providing a safe space for gay guys to ogle TV jocks in tight sports uniforms, Crew, a gay sports bar in Uptown, is closing its doors on July 15.

The bar/restaurant announced their closing on Facebook.

"After 13 years at Broadway & Lawrence, Crew Bar + Grill will be closing in Uptown on July 15, 2017 and searching for a new home...We want to thank Uptown for many memorable years and most of all we want to thank all our dedicated team members and amazing customers who have made Crew Chicago’s best LGBTQ sports bar."

The owners are searching for a new location in a nearby neighborhood, but have not yet found one. The owners of Crew also owned the ill-fated Cantina 1910 and own the nearby SoFo Tap, a popular Andersonville gay bar.
