A Monday night stabbing in Chinatown left one man dead, and police suspect that other area stabbings are connected.

Police found a 50-year-old man in the street in the 200 block of West 23rd Street, not far from Chinatown's main shopping and restaurant district, with a stab wound in his back, and he was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Police also found a 23-year-old man nearby with a stab wound in his groin, who was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

Later that night, a 37-year-old and a 45-year-old man entered Stroger Hospital with stab wounds. They are in stable condition, police told the Tribune, and it's possible the stabbings are connected.

Police told ABC7 that they questioned a witness Tuesday morning, but the motive for the attacks was not clear. It's possible some of the men were stabbed inside an apartment, as opposed to on the street where the two were found.
