Photos: These Chicago Halloween Decorations Are Killing It

By Rachel Cromidas in Arts & Entertainment on Oct 28, 2016 4:49PM

Every year, some people go all out to celebrate Halloween and Dia de los Muertos.

We heard Edgewater, Pilsen and Little Village are where it's at for amazingly spooky decorations, so we sent photographer Tyler LaRiviere around the Far North and Southwest sides to check it out. (But yes, we know we missed a ton of amazing cobwebs, ghouls, decorative gourds and Halloween light displays all over the city. Please email us at tips@chicagoist.com if you'd like to share your best Halloween decoration photos from around Chicago for a feature next week.)

Some of our favorites include a disembodied clown mask, a bunch of stone lawn sculptures doing double-duty, a zombie climbing out of the ground, a mummy hanging precariously from a second-floor balcony and so many floating eyeballs. Nice work, Chicago!
