Photos: Buy Jonathan Toews' Lincoln Park Mansion For $3.9 Million

It appears Blackhawks team captain Jonathan Toews is all about early exits this year. He and the Hawks suffered a first-round bounce from the playoffs in late April at the hands of rival St. Louis Blues in seven games. Now comes word that Captain Serious has put his Lincoln Park mansion back on the market, just 18 months after he purchased it. The brick-and-limestone walkup can be yours for $3.9 million.

The humble 6,400-square-foot Lincoln Park fixer-upper boasts five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, a two-car garage, “a private, landscaped oasis” outdoor space, a steam room and four-stop elevator. The penthouse level contains a rec room with wet bar and access to a rooftop deck. But true to Toews' Winnipeg-humble roots, just four fireplaces. We kid: for a dude who signed an $84 million contract two years ago, it’s relatively flash-averse. Aside from eight boss white Eames chairs at a dining table, the beige-y, Restoration Hardware vibe is pretty much exactly what you’d expect from the self-effacing team leader.

Toews plans to stay in the city but would prefer a smaller space, representing realtor group Jennifer Ames Chicago told the Tribune.
