Photos: The Chicago Cubs Are Better At Suits Than You, Haters

The Chicago Cubs are currently in Pittsburgh on their first theme trip of the 2016 season: "a minimalist zany suit trip," as Cubs manager Joe Maddon announced Saturday.
They won their first game against the Pirates Monday night (7-2), but more importantly, they've been killing the zany fashion game since they left for the trip Sunday.
Behold their abstract dress code converted into concrete, cornea-burning outfits:

You can even behold their outfits in Facebook video form! (Alas, it is un-embeddable.)
The theme is, obviously, incredibly fun—I mean, a star spangled banner suit! An elk-print suit! A hot pink blazer and a cheetah tie!
It's also slightly serious. If a player fails to wear "some part of the suit" every day of the three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates, which ends Thursday, they face a $100 fine from the team. Not that $100 is a lot to pro baseball players, but still. Money is money!
Speaking of money, this theme has also been a cash cow for OppoSuits. Founded in Amsterdam, the online store is where many Cubs players got their suits for the week, the Tribune reported.
"There was a massive spike in terms of website business, a big boost of extra traffic and sales," OppoSuits co-founder Jelle van der Zwet told the Tribune.
This is in part because the Cubs are the best. Literally. They finished April with a 17-5 record, the strongest record in all of professional baseball—which fits right into forecasts they'll win the World Series this year. They will also win the World Series of fashion, it appears.
