Everyone loves a good meatball. That's the (totally correct) premise behind the Battle of the Balls, happening Sunday at Formento's.

Fourteen great chefs (including Chris Pandel of Swift & Sons, Sean Pfarr of The Bristol, Paul Virant of Vie, Nathan Sears of The Radler, Duncan Biddulph of The Winchester and many more) will compete to create the best ball. The rules are broad: the ball can be meat, dessert, vegetarian or otherwise. The winner will be chosen by the guests.

For $60, you get all the balls you want, wine, Goose Island beer and access to a Campari Negroni bar helmed by Greg Buttera. There are two sessions - at noon and at 2 - but the 2 p.m. session is sold out. Looks like you'll have to go for lunch.

Tickets are available here.
