The Developer Of Chicago's SoHo House Is Planning Another Fulton Market Hotel

The West Loop/Fulton Market District has been booming for years and a developer wants to build another hotel in the hot neighborhood.

Chicago-based Shapack Development, who developed the nearby Soho House, "is set to unveil a Morris Adjmi-designed 11-story hotel proposal at the northwest corner of Lake and Green Street," according to Curbed.

The new hotel will have 165 to 171 hotel rooms on the building's top floors with retail and dining space, parking and office space on the lower floors. There is no word yet on a hotel operator but a boutique brand, like the nearby, planned Ace and Nobu hotels, is likely, according to Curbed.

The plans will be officially unveiled on Jan. 27 at a community meeting hosted by Ald. Walter Burnett, Jr. and the West Loop Neighborhood Association. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at WeWork Fulton Market.
