Shuttered Redmoon Theatre's Props Are Up For Auction

The demise of Chicago's quirky and experimental Redmoon Theatre, which brought us the Great Chicago Fire Fest for two wacky years, has been a blow to the city's arts scene.

But before you say goodbye to Redmoon forever, you have a chance to bid on some of the theatre's props and tools through a currently ridiculously under-priced online auction, now through Jan. 18.

Items for sale include your garden variety-hammers and drills, but also one-of-a-kind theater props like metal fire cages, chandeliers, musical instruments and sculptures made out of old bicycle parts. A large pipe organ prop is currently going for $25. A Baldwin baby grand piano is going for $55.
