Video: NSFW Sparks Fly During WGN's St. Patrick's Day Segment

When we think family friendly St. Patrick's Day, visions of shamrocks, pots of gold and bagpipes pop into our head. Not a performer shooting sparks out of her vaginal region.
Apparently someone at WGN was looking to spice up the holiday this year and booked Shana Vaughan-Gabor, a performer with Cirque de la Femme, for a morning show segment. Vaughan-Gabor has the neat talent of taking an angle grinder to metal on her body and letting sparks fly. It's pretty cool, we've actually seen her perform in bars around town and she's a total badass. But family friendly? Not so much.
Reporter Pat Tomasulo clearly had no idea what he was signing up for and c'mon WGN, no one thought to ask Vaughan-Gabor what she was going to do with the giant metal slab tied to her crotch? No one did a quick run through so you could have toned down the spread eagle portion of the show?
Apparently no one at WGN did their research. If they had, they would realize that Vaughan-Gabor nickname is "Pussysparks" and she is also a professional dominatrix. Two totally badass things but maybe not the person you book for an early morning segment with an audience of young children in the background. The best part is when they quickly cut away then return to Tomasulo who is saving face by asking the kids what they thought of "the lady shooting spark out of her midsection." Yup, her nickname is totally Midsectionsparks, right? Nice save there, Pat.
After the segment aired, Larry Potash apologized for the unintentional porn aired during the show:
Holy crap....we apologize for the unintentional porn that just aired @WGNMorningNews during our St. Pat celebration.

Porn? Really? Poor choice for your viewership but Potash is giving off some serious chaste vibes if he thinks that was porn. Hell, we've seen steamier moments televised between Janet Davies and Mark Giangreco. No matter what, thanks to WGN for making sparks fly this St. Patrick's Day.
