While many actors and comedians often use their first book as an opportunity to release a humorous memoir chronicling their rise to stardom, One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories, a collection of fictional short stories from B.J. Novak, refreshingly shows off his serious skills as a writer of heartfelt comedy. This shouldn't be surprising for an entertainer who while playing The Office's perennial office temp Ryan Howard on screen, also served as a writer and executive producer on the long-running series. The collection reached the New York Time’s bestseller list and was followed by the critically acclaimed children’s book, The Book with No Pictures.

Novak will appear on the Chicago leg of his national book tour to discuss his debut novel at The Logan Square Auditorium this Sunday at 5:30 p.m. He'll be joined by Jennifer Day, editor of Printers Row Journal who will lead the conversation. Following the talk, audience members are encouraged to ask Novak questions and have their copy of One More Thing signed.

The Logan Square Auditorium is located at 2539 N. Kedzie Blvd. Tickets are now available for $20 for general admission.
