Mike Ditka To Prancercise For Charity

Being a no-nonsense tough guy is the foundation of Mike Ditka's mystique and "Da Coach's" Svengali-like hold over Bears fans 30 years after the Super Bowl Shuffle faded into the ether. While it's been hard for many to separate Ditka the caricature from Ditka the man over the past three decades, one can't say he doesn't walk the walk when it comes to assisting former pro football players.

Ditka has been a supporter of the Gridiron Greats charity since its inception and is president of their board of directors. Gridiron Greats has provided financial grants and pro bono medical assistance to former pro football players whose bodies were ravaged during their playing careers.

Ditka's latest fundraising effort for Gridiron Greats involves him Prancercising during Super Bowl Week if he can raise $100,000 for the charity. For those unfamiliar with Prancercise, here's the workout's founder, Joanna Rohrback, describing how it works.

Now imagine Ditka doing that. Da Coach has even promised to get some of his fellow former football colleagues to join in if he can exceed his $100K goal.

This seems too easy and we'll donate for the sight of seeing Ditka cutting the noose and letting it loose with the Prancercise gallop, as long as he wears the outfit Rohrback picked out for him.
