Video: Happy Holidays From The Holiday Train And CTA

It is no secret how much we love the Holiday Train over here at Chicagoist. CTA has many flaws but this is the one time of the year where we feel just a tiny bit of a win for all those phantom buses on Bus Tracker we've missed, all the double charges on Ventra and for every surly CTA worker we've encountered. One of our staffers just spent their birthday riding the entire route of the Holiday Train from start to finish and getting photos with Santa after. One could say we are a little bit obsessed.

So it is no surprise that we enjoy the merry greeting the CTA posted recently to their Youtube channel. Sure, the CTA wishes us a Holiday Train-filled seasonal greeting every year, but this one is much longer than years past and actually gives us a POV of what goes into making a plain old CTA train car into a holiday spectacular.
