Lovers of craft beer and film can satisfy both passions this Saturday thanks to BeerFX. The group plans to debut their short documentary "Barrel Aged,” a film focusing on an imperial brown ale, aged in Angel’s Envy barrels for ten months, named “Turn Brown for What!”. The film aims to give the viewer a better understanding of barrel aged beer and the process behind crafting it.

Paired with the film’s debut is a tasting event that will feature samples of TBW, along with breweries and distilleries such as Angel’s Envy, Moody Tongue and Rude Hippo.

“Barrel Aged”, the film and tasting are set for this Saturday, Dec. 13 from 3:30 to 7p.m. at the Logan Square Auditorium (2539 N. Kedzie Blvd). Tickets are available on Eventbrite.

If you have an event for inclusion in "Pencil This In," please contact Tankboy (for A&E-related listings), Melissa McEwen (for tastings, dinners and food and drink-related events) or tips[at]chicagoist[dot]com.
