Disappears Drummer Takes Cycling Spill; Friends Accepting Donations For Medical Bills

Psychedelic rocking Disappears is a Chicagoist favorite, so we were bummed to hear that drummer Noah Leger had a pretty awful spill on his bike. Last week, he took a hard face-plant into the pavement, possibly caused by a failed front wheel theft.

Leger's face is pretty gnarly looking right now thanks to all the road rash, and he’s missing a bunch of teeth, but fortunately his injuries are mostly cosmetic and he’ll be back on the saddle soon.

But now come the medical bills. To help pay for the ridiculous cost of health care, a friend of the band, Jill Coyne, created a donation page so he can get some new teeth.

The goal was set at $8,000, but it quickly exceeded that and with four days still left in the campaign, it’s at nearly $11,000. But the more the merrier, so throw your dollars and cents his way on this YouCaring page.
