Pipeworks Citra Ninja makes Paste's list of must-try beers.

Chicago's craft beer community continues to get national press. Online music and culture magazine Paste published a list of 100 beers every beer-lover should drink and Chicago area breweries are well-represented.

Three Floyds' Dark Lord tops the list, followed by Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout at number 10; Lagunitas IPA at number 20 and Brown Shugga (49th); Three Floyds' Zombie Dust at number 42; Revolution's Anti-Hero IPA (54th); Haymarket's Angry Birds Rye IPA (60th); Half Acre's Daisy Cutter (72nd); and Pipeworks Brewing's "Citra Ninja" West Coast-style IPA makes the list at number 90.

Other notable entries are New Glarus' Serendipity at number 30,New Holland's Dragon's Milk at number 33, and Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout at number four. New Glarus, Schlafly, and Perennial also made the list.

The abundance of Midwestern breweries on the list is an indication of the recognition and reputation beers from the heartland are receiving nationally. The abundance of Chicago-area beers is very surprising (and we do include Three Floyds on that list).
