Chicagoans joined in the annual celebration of Croatian American Day in Daley Plaza (50 W. Washington St.) Friday, May 9. Attendees enjoyed traditional food, music, and performances of Croatian folklore, tambura, and dance. Chicago was once known as the "Second Croatian Capital," and there are over 150,000 descendants of Croatian heritage in Chicagoland today.
