Pencil This In: 'Lagunitas Sucks' Firkin Friday At The Bavarian Lodge
By Chuck Sudo in Food on Jan 30, 2014 6:40PM
It's hard to believe The Bavarian Lodge has never featured a firkin from Lagunitas Brewing for their regular "Firkin Friday" feature but that all changes 5:30 p.m. Jan. 31 when they tap "Lagunitas Sucks!," a cask-conditioned hoppy winter ale.
Brewed with a "cereal medley" of barley, rye, wheat, and oats and weighing in at 7.85 percent alcohol by volume, Lagunitas Sucks! is dry-hopped with a boatload of hops for that big aroma and resinous hop flavor. Brewery representatives will be on hand to talk about the new Lagunitas Brewery being built in Chicago. They'll also be handing out some sweet Lagunitas swag to those enjoying a fine Lagunitas brew. So, come out, hang out, and show Lagunitas some love. They just might love ya back! (1800 Ogden Ave., Lisle)
