Music Video Of The Day: Steve Earle & The Dukes 'I Ain't Ever Satisfied'

By Chuck Sudo in Arts & Entertainment on Sep 19, 2013 10:30PM

The Low Highway is the first album hardcore troubadour Steve Earle recorded with his longtime backing band The Dukes since 2004's The Revolution Starts... Now. Actually, the name of the band is now "The Dukes (& Duchesses)" and features Earle's wife, singer Allison Moorer. Digressing, The Low Highway also marks Earle's first recording with co-producer Ray Kennedy in nine years and is a slight return to form after a series of hit-or-miss releases. Earle's always been full of piss and vinegar but he's fallen into the trap of most veteran singer-songwriters of re-writing his own songs. Live, however, Earle still brings it and Chicago has always been home to one of his stronger fanbases.

Earle, Moorer and the rest of the Dukes and Duchesses to the Vic for a show Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. purchase tickets here.

Since you apparently can't watch music videos on television anymore, we'll showcase one here daily. There's no rhyme or reason, time or season, to which video we'll choose. Have a suggestion? Contact us at tips@chicagoist.com.
