Anastasia Chatzka, a local Chicago designer, and International Academy of Design and Technology grad, closed the doors of her previous Wicker Park boutique on Division Street in February 2012.

Her much-awaited return to the retail scene kicks off tonight, August 10, with an opening party from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Anastasia, located at 1001 N. Damen Ave, on the corner of Damen and Augusta.

At the time of her break, she wanted to focus on growing her wholesale business and expanding her online store.

Due to overwhelming popular demand, Chatzka's back with a new boutique/atelier simply called "Anastasia." Tonight's opening party promises to be a fun chance to get a first look at what she's been up to lately.

Chatzka has worked with Betsey Johnson and Anna Sui. Though her collection happily shows influence from both of those designers, Chatzka's designs have a personality that is distinctly Anastasia.

In addition to getting a first look at Anastasia, enjoy a set of hip hop & metal by DJ Bling Diamond of Headbangers Ballers and other special guests.

Styling tips and tricks will be offered by makeup artist Cerissa C of Pascal Studio Bucktown and a special appearance will be made by the one and only Mr. Bob Chatzka, the inspiration for the Mr. Chatzka menswear accessory line.

Mr. Chatzka will be in attendance "rocking the bow ties and suspenders that he inspired, and regaling customers & fans about adventures from his youth," as promised in a press release.

The new boutique will include Chatzka's seasonal ready to wear collections as well as intimates, special collaboration pieces and a very cool new service called "One Fit Custom."

"One Fit Custom" promises shoppers a designer-fit dress in one try-on. Chatzka delivers on this by offering a selection of her garments in a muslin version that customers can try on so that she can fine tune the fit without starting from scratch.

This approach allows her to turn around items quickly and price the custom pieces affordably - comparable to her other ready-to-wear items in the store.
