Pencil This In: The Back Half At Rockwell's; Green City Market Canning Demo

Bring the flavors of your summer garden into autumn and beyond by learning how to can your fruits and vegetables. Green City Market is hosting a canning demo 11:30 a.m. July 27 with Farmhouse chef Eric Mansavage, who also serves on GCM's Junior Board. Mansavage will demonstrate how to make jams from this season's best cherries and peaches, step-by-step. (1790 N. Clark St., Free)

Beer

The Half Acre Beer Company crew will take over the taps at Rockwell's starting 5 p.m. July 25. They'll have Daisy Cutter, Over Ale, Akari Shogun, Pony Pils, Baume, C-Change, Cuda, Navaja, 2023 and Guest lager on draft, and a firkin of Akari Shogun dry hopped with Motueka hops. (4632 N.
