You don’t have to have a honey to enjoy the talents on display in this Saturday’s dance compilation, Duets for My Valentine. This annual show has plenty of romance and plenty of action as it brings together different Chicago companies and different forms from ballet to modern to hip hop. As the title states, all the performances are duets, and the evening is once again hosted by none other than Mr. Mattrick Swayze, who puts on quite a show himself.

Started by Bob Barrett in 1998, Duets is now run by Chicago Dance Crash’s Mark Hackman, who has a knack for putting together eclectic programs. Some of the companies participating this year include modern-centric Leopold Group, the African-influenced Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, C5 acrobatics, Chicago Tap Theatre and of course, Chicago Dance Crash.

Email us at tips@chicagoist.com with "DANCE CRASH" in the subject line before 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8 for your chance to win a pair of tickets for this one night only performance.

Tickets are $25 ($30 door). Show begins at 8 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 9, at Athenaeum Theatre. 2936 N. Southport Ave.
