Paddy Long's will be the setting for tonight's release party for Metropolitan Brewing's Generator Doppelbock. The Metropolitan crew will have that, Krankshaft Kolsch and Dynamo Copper Lager on tap, as well as a keg of Generator that's been aging for a year. It all starts at 7 p.m. (1028 W. Diversey)

Readings

The 2nd Story will host a reading of works from their recently published anthology, Briefly Knocked Unconscious By a Low-flying Duck, 6 p.m. JAn. 25 at 57th Street Books. Scheduled readers include Randy Albers Columbia College Chicago Fiction Writing program, Columbia College faculty member Lott Hill and 2nd Story Literary Director Megan Stielstra. (5751 S.
