Art
Fans of art have one last chance to view a unique exhibit at Uncommon Ground Devon before it ends Dec. 3. Artist Shannon Favia has an exhibit there inspired by basketball sneakers, from Chuck Taylors to Air Jordans to Derrick Rose’s Adidas-branded shoes. It makes for a funky counter to Uncommon Ground’s dining area. Consider it dinner and a show. (1401 W. Devon Ave.)
Beer
Stone Brewing maintains its “arrogant” marketing slogan with a “Bitter Christmas” Dec. 3 at the Fountainhead. Here’s the current beer lineup: Stone Enjoy By 12.21.12; Stone 16th Anniversary IPA with Green Tea; Stone Arrogant Bastard Dry Hopped with Chinook hops; Stone Sublimely Self Righteous with Espresso; Stone Ruination IPA; Stone IPA. For fans of holiday ales, Fountainhead will also tap Three Floyds Alpha Klaus; Bruery 5 Golden Rings; Revolution Fistmas; and Great Lakes Christmas Ale. Finally, they’ll be screening The Nightmare Before Christmas, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. (1970 W. Montrose)
