Meet Virtue Cider's Greg Hall and the rest of the Virtue team 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. Nov. 14 at Paramount Room. The evening features RedStreak Cider & the Zackariah Harris Cider Cocktail, plus two dishes—mussels and a braised lamb shank—made with RedStreak. If you're nice, maybe Hall will tell you about some of Virtue's upcoming releases. (415 N. Milwaukee Ave.)

Northwestern professor Bill Savage sits down for a discussion 6:30 - 8 p.m. Nov. 13 with Sun-Times columnist Neil Steinberg, whose new book You Were Never in Chicago is a memoir of Steinberg's time in Chicago, from arriving to attend school at Northwestern to rising to the upper ranks of Chicago's journalists. The discussion is part of the University of Chicago's Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies "Chicago by the Book" series. (Gleacher Center, 450 North Cityfront Plaza Dr.; admission $10.)
