The Paper Machete Movin' On Up To Green Mill

2011_9_23_PaperMachete.jpg Not a deluxe apartment in the sky, but somewhere even better: starting Dec. 1, the weekly live magazine The Paper Machete will take place at the Green Mill in Uptown. Since June 2011 it's been at Horseshoe on Lincoln Ave. Time Out Chicago reports that some recent special editions of the show have suitably impressed the powers that be at the historic jazz joint, so after taking a week off for Thanksgiving, The Paper Machete will remount in the new (old) space, Saturdays at 3 p.m.

Tomorrow's show, like pretty much every installment, will feature some really interesting guests (and we're not just saying that because several Chicagoistas have guested in the past). The lineup includes Adam Burke, Mike Daisy, and Neo-Futurist Noelle Krimm, as well as music from Gabe Liebowitz. Incidentally, despite the relocation to posher digs, the price of admission will remain the same: free. That means more cash to spend on PBR or the Green Mill's surprisingly potent Manhattans.
