Pencil This In: Bucktown Apple Pie Contest; West Town Bikes Scavenger Hunt

It's that time of year again: The Bucktown Apple Pie Contest is this Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Holstein Park fieldhouse (2200 N. Oakley Ave.). The contest has grown by leaps and bounds over the years and has become one of the staple events of early autumn in Chicago. The contest runs from 2-5 p.m. but get there early if you want to taste the most pies.

Scavenger Hunt

Registration for West Town Bikes scavenger hunt begins 6:30 p.m. tonight at their shop at 2459 W. Division St. the hunt starts at 7;30 and ends at Cole's Bar (2338 N. Milwaukee Ave.), where an afterparty starts at 10 p.m. There's a suggested donation of $10 per team member.
