The second full-length from Chicago psychedelic pop act Outer Minds, who, based on their multi-part harmonies and hard-hitting tempos, can best be described as a punk Mamas and the Papas, comes out officially in December.

Behind The Mirror is Outer Minds' second full-length of 2012, having already put out a self-titled album earlier in March on Southpaw Records. In the meantime, the band was the very first act to open this year's Pitchfork Music Festival, and they've been steadily gigging around like all good Chicago bands.

Behind The Mirror< shows the band adding dark, minor-key depth to their sound while still retaining the harmonious core that drew people to Outer Minds in the first place. This is a very strong record, and it is a better, more mature album than their first.
