Drink Big Jones' October Bourbon Of The Month: Larceny

2012_10_05_larceny.png We mentioned Heaven Hill's new Larceny whiskey as one of the standouts from our drinking adventure at Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans this summer. The whiskey just came to Chicago in September and is out in limited release, so we haven't seen it too many places.

Good news—we know where you can get it. Big Jones, our favorite Southern restaurant in Chicago, has made Larceny its bourbon of the month. That means that if you're a member of the Big Jones Bourbon Society (which we are, and which we highly recommend because it's free to join and gets you special perks), you'll get a free pour when you go in this month.

Larceny is a wheated bourbon, which means that wheat is the predominant grain after corn. It's a soft whiskey, but there's a subtle sweetness and notes of dried fruit.
