Third Annual Do312 Lollapalooza Celebrity Kickball Game A Close One

Like any high, we think it’s better to ease off of Lollapalooza than quitting it cold turkey, so here’s one more photo gallery of Do312’s Third Annual Celebrity Kickball Game. The game took place in front of the Red Bull stage just after they opened the gates on Saturday (Did you know that they play the Star Wars theme as the gates open? The only people there early enough to know this were us and those kids who hauled ass to get a front row spot for the headliner to perform nine hours later). Team members ranged from Emmy winners (Aaron Paul) to TV personalities (Guy Fieri) to Lolla artists to politicians (Alderman Proco Joe Moreno) to local celebrities, including our very own Tankboy.

The Grey Team, led by Chris Holmes, walked away with a three-peat this year after an ending rally by the opposing Green Team and a hotly debated final score of 8 to 7. As for who’s been on each respective team each year, it varies, but Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) must be the secret weapon since he’s been on the winning team every year thus far. The prize? A trophy with a Fender guitar mounted on it. We’re not sure who actually took it home, though. Our guess is Pinkman.

But you probably don’t care about the score, you want to hear about these “athletes” falling down, running into one another while trying to catch an out, and smoking and drinking beers in the outfield. And, of course, see photos of the action!
