Pencil This In: Meantime Naval Porter Release At SmallBar Division

By Chuck Sudo in Food on Jul 23, 2012 4:40PM

2012_7_23_meantime.jpg One of England's best craft breweries, Meantime, is set to make its Chicago debut of its Naval Porter with a launch party tomorrow, July 24, at SmallBar Division from 6-11 p.m.

Meantime Naval Porter is made with 24 months oak aging in Bruichladdich Octomore barrels for a woody, intensely peaty smokiness to the ‘stock’ Porter, which is then blended with a younger beer. This latter adds vitality to the brew.

In addition to the Naval Porter, SmallBar will also be tapping Meantime English IPA and Meantime Pils.
