On this date in 1933 Illinois became the 10th state to ratify the 21st Amendment, re-legalizing alcohol. To celebrate, The Southern hosts "Prohibition Night" with Angel's Envy bourbon tonight on its rooftop.

The free event features live music, complimentary hors d'oevres and $5 Prohibition-era cocktails.

Space is limited, so RSVP online in advance now.

The Southern is in Wicker Park at 1840 W. North Ave. Prohibition Night starts at 8 p.m.
