By Chuck Sudo in Food on Jun 26, 2012 4:30PM

2012_6_26_PTI.jpg A year ago Growing Power took an abandoned industrial building and seven acres in Bridgeport and transformed it into a year-round urban farm, growing produce that is popular at Green City Market, 61st Street Farmers Markets, and other farmers markets in Chicago. To celebrate the occasion Growing power has enlisted Province chef Randy Zweiban to put together a dinner showcasing Growing Power's produce, along with grass-fed poultry and beef, wine pairings from Heritage Wines and beer pairings from Revolution Brewing. The dinner takes place 6 p.m. Thursday, June 28.

Growing Poser's founder and CEO, Will Allen, Will Allen, be present to do a book signing for his new book, The Good Food Revolution. Tickets to the event are available by clicking here. Growing Power's Iron Street Farm is located at 3333 S. Iron St.
