PENCIL THIS IN: Pete Crowley And Doug Hurst Talk Beer At Jake Melnick's
By Chuck Sudo in Food on May 22, 2012 4:20PM
Given its location and the size of its beer menu, Jake Melnick's Corner Tap is on our list of underrated beer bars and it makes sense that the organizers of Chicago Craft Beer Week involve them in some fashion for the festival. Tonight Jake Melnick's is hosting a discussion on beer with Metropolitan Brewing's Doug Hurst and Haymarket Pub & Brewery's Pete Crowley, moderated by Chi Town on Tap founder and Chicagoist's beer writer, Paul Schneider.
The event begins at 7 p.m. with an all-you-can-eat and drink buffet, featuring Metro's Arc Welder Dunkel Rye, Krankshaft, Generator Doppelbock and Haymarket's Rubber Monkey Belgian Wheat IPA dry-hopped with Citra. The discussion and Q&A between Paul, Crowley and Hurst will run from 8:30-9 p.m.
As of post time, tickets ($25) are still available at the door.
