Pencil This In: The Bedford's First Anniversary

It's hard to imagine it's only been a year since the Wicker Park must-eat, must-drink hotspot opened, but The Bedford celebrates its first anniversary tonight with a special dinner, creative cocktails and live entertainment.

The Bedfod's executive chef Mark Steuer headlines the event, and he'll be joined by Matt Troost of Three Aces, John Manion of La Sirena Clandestina and Mindy Segal of Hot Chocolate.

For drinks, Freixenet Cava will host a bubbly bar, and Reyka Vodka and Citadelle Gin will host a cucumber cooler bar. The bartenders are a surprise, though. For entertainment, DJ Chris Cormier of The Sleepers will start spinning at 9:30 p.m.
