Protect Your Tailgate, Truck Owners

By Chuck Sudo in News on Oct 21, 2011 8:30PM

A series of thefts in suburban Oswego has police in the suburban town warning drivers of pickup trucks to keep their tailgates locked.

That's not a euphemism. Six tailgates have been stolen of trucks since May and, since they're fairly expensive to replace, Oswego police are asking truck owners to either lock their tailgates or keep their trucks in a garage. They suspect the person or persons behind the tailgate thefts are re-selling them to nearby auto repair shops as replacement parts.
