Pack up your bindle stick or maybe a bed roll and head to the Pullman neighborhood this weekend for the annual HoboFest, a celebration of the hobo lifestyle and culture. The event features historical lectures, fireside conversations and the arts, crafts and music of migrant workers. There will be a big vat of Mulligan stew, and if you've ever wondered what the difference is between tramps, hobos and bums, this is your opportunity to find out.

Saturday night festivities feature "safe urban camping" at the old Pullman factory building grounds, including a fire circle and music. Check the Pullman Events Facebook page to find more information. Get a taste of what you can see by watching the video below.

The Pullman HoboFest is Saturday and Sunday, August 27-28, 2 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at 11035 S Cottage Grove Ave.
