Kukoc Caught In Different Kind of Ring

Toni Kukoc won three rings with the Chicago Bulls as a member of their second threepeat championship teams. But the former Bulls forward was connected to another kind of ring recently, one that could get him into a heap of trouble.

The Croatian basketball player was accused of being a "john" of a large, high profile prostitution ring Nebojsa Perunovic Pance, who ran the elite prostitution ring, was arrested last week. In an interview with one of the girls who worked for Pance, she testified, "I went there, I can't remember the name of the hotel. In the hotel I had sexual relations with [Toni] Kukoc who paid me 500 Euros."

Interestingly, Kukoc's response seems quite nonchalant. "I was in worse situations in life. What should I do? Return home to Split? Of course I will stay in Osijek," said Kukoc to the media. We're not quite sure what staying put there will do to protect him, since we're not sure how these things work over there.

Perhaps it's as easy as paying off the right officials to wipe his record clean. Or they just don't care when it comes to infidelity in Europe. Heck, the Italian prime minister has kept his job in spite of claims that are far worse than those which have brought down American politicians or publicly shamed celebs. Perhaps that's why Kukoc has stayed in Croatia rather than hightailing it back to his home on the North Shore.
