Blackhawks, Crawford Agree on Contract

The Blackhawks seem to have learned from letting Antti Niemi go last season and announced an agreement with goalie Corey Crawford on a three-year, $8 million contract.

Crawford led rookie goaltenders with 33 wins this season in earning the top goalie job from Marty Turco. His 2.30 Goals Against Average was 8th best in the NHL. He also led all rookies with a .927 save percentage and a 2.21 GAA in seven playoff games and was arguably the MVP of the Hawks' seven game loss to Vancouver in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
