Countdown to Rahmageddon: Where Did Those Ballots Go?

It's not a stretch to say that a lot of drama has occurred concerning the Chicago mayoral elections over the past week, but business is moving along as usual now that Rahm Emanuel's name was ordered back on the ballots in time for the upcoming election.
It's exciting that Rahmbo's back on the ballot and everything, but whatever happened to the ballots that were printed (prematurely) without Rahm's name on them? Not much, apparently:
Chicago Board of Election Commissioners spokesman Jim Allen tells the Chicago Tribune that the ballots are sequestered at a printing company in Waukegan. He says the ballots will "remain under lock and key right now."
We were hoping for something more theatrical to match the tone of how this mayoral campaign has been playing out - perhaps a giant ballot-burning or that someone was able to take all the ballots and make a giant papier-mâché replica of Rahmbo himself.
