Feder Moves to Time Out Chicago

2009_10_21_Feder.jpg Two weeks after announcing he was pulling up stakes and leaving WBEZ's family of blogs, Robert Feder's media blog has found a new home.

Starting Jan. 3, Feder will be bringing the best media coverage in the city to Time Out Chicago. TOC Editor-in-Chief Frank Sennet called the move "the biggest free-agent columnist signing in Chicago since Royko jumped to the Trib."

Feder's move is also a signal of the big plans Sennett has for expanding the coverage of TOC's magazine and web concerns past entertainment, food, culture and nightlife features and listings. Feder officially left WBEZ last month, prompted by the redesign of the WBEZ website, the migration of the former Vocalo blogs under the WBEZ brand and the technical problems that resulted.
