Some of us could do away with dessert and crave a salty appetizer while others can't get enough of the cupcake crazy sweeping the city. Next weekend, Old Town Social offers a savory fix with their OktoberFEAST dishes of homemade sausages, brats and beers while Andersonville serves up the fifth annual Dessert Crawl, featuring the best desserts from twenty-four restaurants in the Northside neighborhood.

Saturday, October 2nd from 11am to 10pm

What to eat and drink: Chef Jared VanCamp serves up homemade sausages, brats and German beers served in traditional steins and large beer boots - das boot!
Entertainment: German “drinking” music complete with a DJ in full German costume from 12pm - 3pm then German Oom-Pah bands playing from 3-6pm.

Sunday, October 3rd from 2pm - 5pm
Fifth Annual Andersonville Dessert Crawl
Where: Headquarters for the Andersonville Dessert Crawl is the Swedish American Museum, 5211 N. Clark Street, with host restaurants located throughout the neighborhood
What to eat: desserts galore from shops and restaurants including Ann Sather, Big Jones, Ceres’ Table, George’s Ice Cream and Sweets, Hamburger Mary's, In Fine Spirits, M Henry, Swedish Bakery, Terry’s Toffee and more.
