Brown Line service to the Loop will be stalled today between the Merchandise Mart and Clark/Lake stations because of planned work on the Wells Street Bridge, so plan accordingly. The inconvenience started at 7:10 a.m. and goes until 1:30 p.m. and shuttles will be provided by the CTA in order to temporarily replace the rail routes that will be out of service. A release by the CTA also stated that customers will be able to use the Orange, Green, or Pink line trains to travel within and around the Loop without disturbances, and that there will be another shuttle that will be available to patrons which will operate around the loop counterclockwise to the Brown Line route. The Red Line will not be affected, and the Brown Line will operate normally as scheduled between the Kimball and Merchandise Mart stations.
