Teahen, Sox Agree To New Contract

The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms of a new contract with recently acquired third baseman Mark Teahen. The deal helps the team avoid arbitration talks and extends Teahen's contract through 2012; his previous contract ran out in 2011. According to published reports, "Teahen will earn $3.75 million next year, $4.75 million in 2011 and $5.5 million in 2012."
