Morning Box Score: Irish Trip Up Jordan, UCF
By Marcus Gilmer in News on Dec 7, 2009 4:20PM
Notre Dame took to the court against the Knights of Central Florida and the son of His Royal Airness, but it was a pair of Fighting Irish who made the big splashes offensively en route to a 90-72 Notre Dame victory yesterday. Tim Abromaitis scored 31 points - a career high - and Luke Harangody added 29 points and seven rebounds in the winning effort for the Irish. The teams were tied 41-41 at the half, but Notre Dame opened the second half on an 8-0 run and methodically extended their lead throughout the rest of the game. As for Marcus Jordan? He had a pretty good night coming off the bench to score nine points, shooting 4-for-4 from the field, and pulled down six rebounds in 20 minutes of action.
