Colon Found, Sad About Michael Jackson

By Marcus Gilmer in News on Jul 9, 2009 8:00PM

Don't worry about that mysterious disappearance of White Sox pitcher Bartolo Colon. While his exact whereabouts still aren't public knowledge but according to the team, he will make his scheduled rehab start in Charlotte tonight. But perhaps the best part of this is not the "where" or the "when" but rather the "why" he was hard to locate. Ozzie Guillen has his own theory [per the Tribune]:

"I worry about Colon because Colon was a big-time Michael Jackson fan," Guillen said. "He might [watch] the TV and cry all day long. Maybe he is in L.A. at his funeral, because I can't find him. When he gets to Charlotte, Oney (Guillen's son) will call me to say he's there.

"Nobody knows how big of a Jackson fan Colon was. I'm serious. He might be depressed a little bit."

Well, mystery solved! The Sox hope he can get enough rehab starts in to pitch one of the games in a July 24 doubleheader against Detroit. [via Deadspin]
