A firehouse on the South Side is going to be converted into the Chicago Fire Department African-American Firefighter Museum. The firehouse? Engine 100, home of the infamous, racial-slur–filled 1990 retirement party. [S-T]

A new law in Indiana requires new businesses that sell "sexually explicit material" to register for a special license. Except no one defined what qualifies as sexually explicit, so Indiana booksellers are none too pleased. [Trib]

More American flights have been canceled, and the airline says planes will be grounded through Saturday afternoon. [AP]

Five pitbulls attacked a woman in Marquette Park this afternoon. A passerby came to her rescue, and the woman is in fair condition. [S-T]
